Bright Spot Connection Event
Saturday, November 14, 2026
Join us for Bright Spot, a special event designed to give both kids and caregivers a chance to recharge.
Caregivers can drop off their kids and teens for a fun-filled morning out packed with games, crafts, lunch, and time with peers. The theme for November is Pajama Party! So come in your favorite PJs, bring your most loved stuffy and/or blankey, and be ready for a morning of fun! Teens will enjoy time in their own space with special activities designed just for them.
Caregivers are invited to stay for a short mixer to build community with others who understand their journey before heading out for some much needed kid-free time.

Connection Opportunities
Various Dates & Locations
The Ambassador Project, a partnership between Be the Source and Cobbled Streets, helps foster and kinship caregivers across Colorado build meaningful connections with others who understand the unique journey of caring for children involved in the child welfare system.
Local Ambassadors are current or former foster and kinship caregivers with lived experience. They host regular events throughout their communities, giving families opportunities to connect, build relationships, have fun together, and learn about local resources and support. With Ambassadors serving communities across the state, these gatherings are designed to help caregivers and families feel supported, valued, and less alone.

First Annual Impact Night
Saturday, September 12, 2026 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Impact Night was an evening of gratitude, reflection, and possibility as we celebrated the volunteers, donors, partners, and friends who make The Haven Impact’s mission possible. We looked back at how far we’ve come, heard meaningful stories of impact from foster families and those connected to our work, and shared a vision for what’s ahead. It was a chance to gather, celebrate what has been accomplished, and invite others to be part of continuing to support foster and kinship families across the Denver metro area. Special thanks to our sponsors: Sherwood Financial Partners, Breckenridge Distillery, Johnson Brothers Maverick Beverage Company, and Breckenridge Brewery.

Bright Spot
Saturday, August 15, 2026 9 am - Noon
Bright Spot is a chance for families to connect, take a breather, and have fun! Open to foster/kinship/adoptive children and their siblings, ages 6 weeks and up.
Our parent mixer was hosted by Colorado Kids Belong for a time of connection with others who understand their journey. Kids stayed with trauma trained volunteers and got to enjoy learning about Casa de la Esperanza in Mexico, while teens went offsite to Inks and Drinks to make a painting. Lunch was graciously provided by Chick-Fil-A.
We strive to offer these events every quarter.

Night of Wonder
Sunday, August 2, 2026
The 2nd Annual Night of Wonder at the Zoo, a partnership between Cobbled Streets and the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) was such a fun event! This free evening was exclusively for foster, kinship, and adoptive families to come together for a joyful, memory-making night at the Denver Zoo. Families from across Colorado gathered for a special night of connection, celebration, and support. Surrounded by the sunset, incredible animals, enriching activities, and trusted community partners, it was a rare opportunity to simply exhale, feel seen, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

Filled Local was a special two-day gathering created just for foster, adoptive, and kinship moms designed to help them feel seen, supported, and refreshed. Thanks to Harbor Church for planning and hosting!
The Haven Impact was able to award three scholarships to moms who recently received a care package from us. Thank you to the generous donors who made this possible! Filled is sponsored by The Filled Gathering, a national initiative by Foster the Family.

Crafting & Coffee Fundraiser
Saturday, October 4, 2025 10 am - Noon
What a great time we had crafting, drinking yummy coffee, and indulging in delicious homemade treats with sweet friends!
A total of 18 pairs of shoes were donated and we raised $2,507! Thanks to everyone who came and supported us! Special thanks to our sponsors: Sherwood Financial Partners, The Boundy Family Charitable Fund, The Oaks Family Charitable Fund, Gallery on the Go, and Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters.
